About the Owner

This is Billy Foster, the heart and soul behind Pizza Stop. Billy's journey in the food industry began when he moved to the Outer Banks in 2009, trading the coastal charm of Newport, RI for the sandy shores of North Carolina. Though he later ventured to Charlotte for his studies at UNC Charlotte, it was during his time working in restaurants to put himself through college that Billy discovered his passion for food.

In 2019, amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, Billy returned to the beach with his loyal sidekick, Meatball the Bulldog, to support his mom in running Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

It was during this time that the seed for  buying Pizza Stop was planted. In 2023, seizing the opportunity to make his mark in the culinary world, Billy decided to fulfill his dream of owning his own restaurant.

Drawing inspiration from his northern roots, Billy envisioned bringing a taste of authentic New York-style pizza to the Outer Banks.  Today, Billy and his team are proud to serve up slices of love and flavor, inviting you to experience the freshness that definesPizza Stop.
